Holidays can be stressful affairs at times, especially when there are kids involved and you need to make sure that everyone is having a good time. Guess what? It doesn’t have to be! We are here to give you some easy-peasy ideas on how you can make vacations and celebrations fun and memorable for the whole family.
Make them your sous-chef –
It might be overwhelming for a child to help cook a meal from start to finish, but you can get them involved in little tasks like setting the table or helping you sprinkle sugar on desserts. Give them little tasks so that they have a great feeling of contributing towards a family celebration.
Make them your travel planning consultant –
Instead of just taking the call on which destination to travel to, ask your child what they look forward to on a family vacation. It’s not necessary that you need to jet off to Disneyland just because they said so, but you can take some of their suggestions and include them when you’re planning a holiday.
Hire them as your party planner – You can ask them to hang up the decorations and even teach them how to make simple decorations. This would then double up as a fun bonding activity for the two of you to do together. Kids don’t want perfection, they want a connection with you and most importantly, they want to have FUN! So loosen up, grab that camera and get ready to make some lasting memories.
